At Little Prairie Herbal Apothecary, our herbs come from three trusted places:

While our selection may be small right now, we take pride in offering herbs of exceptional quality. With each growing season, our garden expands, and we look forward to sharing even more wonderful herbs with you.

We package our herbs in ½ ounce (14-gram) increments, with a maximum of 4 ounces per herb. Each order is packed in compostable paper bags to support our commitment & environment. For optimal freshness and shelf life, we recommend transferring your herbs into glass jars upon arrival.

Because every herb has its own density, the amount of space it fills can vary. To help guide your purchase, here are approximate volume estimates:

• ½ ounce of heavy herbs (roots, berries, powders) ≈ 2 tablespoons

• ½ ounce of leafy herbs (lemon balm, oatstraw) ≈ ¼–⅓ cup

• ½ ounce of light, fluffy herbs (chamomile, jasmine) ≈ ½ cup

(For reference: 1 ounce of heavy herbs ≈ ¼ cup; 1 ounce of fluffy herbs ≈ 1 cup.)
